Banana fish/Zen Koans questions

Bananafish

1. When Sybil was saying "see more glass", was this the author's way of saying that Seymour was like glass and that at any second he could break?

2. In the beginning, why was the girl and mother not named? Everyone else in the story is named

Zen

1.After one experiences Satori, is there any reason to continue studying zen?

2.If the answer to a koan is simply to come to an epiphany about life, than why does it take years to realize this? Wouldn't it be easier to simply spend years convincing yourself that possesions and desires are imprisoning?
